Tyler Perry’s latest film “Meet the Browns” is just like any of his other movies which are a perfect blend of broad comedy along with staged melodrama, thus not giving a chance to the viewers to complain for the excess of any one. His movies also deals with subjects like having faith and believe in god and maintaining strong family bonds .Brenda is shown as a single mom who is struggling very hard to make odd ends meet for her three kids with three fathers and herself which was becoming very difficult in the big city. The problem heightens when she is told that the office where she has been working has been shut down and moved to Mexico City. Taking advice from her dear friend, Brenda declares that she is unable to afford both electricity and food and moves on to rural Georgia, the place where her father was suppose to be buried. The story takes a turn with she learns about her gigantic family which she has lost long ago thereby meeting a persistent charmer who may change her life in more than one way. A typical Tyler Perry movie which everyone should like because it is probably funny although dealing with awkward issues.

Produced by Sanjay kotadia, Ghanshyam Patel and Kanu Patel, Rajaatesh nayar comes up with his directorial debut with sirf which is all set to be released on April 4‘2008. Involving actors like Manisha koirala, Kay kay menon, Ranvir shourey, Sonali kulkarni, Rituparna sengupta and Praveen dabbas in the main lead. Sirf is a movie based on the life of four couples which comes from different strata of life in Mumbai, the city which never sleeps. In this movie the couple feels that they have a problem which cannot be solved and looks at the life of other couples and wish they had the same which seems to them like a bed of roses. Each couple feels that the life of the other couple is much better than what life they are living. Portraying the lifestyles of people living in a metropolitan city the director has taken an effort to depict the insight of these peoples and their relationships. Each one having a different problem to handle, they belong to various financial and social strata of life. What one couple posses may not be possessed by the other couple. The problem of one couple is looked upon as petty issue by the second couple while the serious problem of this couple is looked upon as petty by the other couple. Thus in an effort to search what each of them is lacking they desperately search for a solution to all their problems, realizing that they are lost in the fast moving crowd in the world where no one has enough time.

Following the trend of the many great Asian horror movies, shutter is successful in creating a terrifying and tense atmosphere with a captivating as well as interesting story line. The film begins with the recently married couple of Jane and Ben being introduced just after their ceremony. Unknown of the dangers which awaits them Ben starts with a new job as a photographer before setting of for their honeymoon in Tokyo. With simple plot which is quite straight forward anyone is able to put forth probable guesses to skip the film.
What is most interesting is the fact that ghosts can also appear in photographs provided they have that strong emotional urge involving some unfinished business or an old task which is a strong enough reason to trap the ghost to this world, this is generally called a spirit photography. The plot moves further with the couple driving in a dark road where they meet with an accident and then the girl is nowhere to be found, later he is haunted by his guilt and sees the girl around the town. The story line changes when the photographer is affected by the trouble upon his wife. With all these elements being piled together, there are scenes with Ben confronting the spirit involving creepy sequences there by generating a movie –good enough to watch.

Abbas – Mustan has come up with yet another thriller which includes a study of wickedness, their movies looks interesting to the viewers as they seem to empathize and understand the circumstances of the anti-hero born as a result of a blow of fate, a childhood grudge rather than he himself being a pathological evil. Race is also such a movie crammed with unexpected twists and turns which a little later becomes natural for the viewers to expect. Introducing all the characters and relieving their murky sides the first half is quite riveting. Where the two brothers Saif ali khan and Akshay khanna start off with racing bikes in their mere childhood but end up running race for their life with each brother trying to kill the other to inherit the family fortune. When Biapasha basu is introduced as the lady love of the elder brother the younger brother falls for the lady and promises to quit drinking if the girl agrees to marry. Race keeps unraveling one surprise after another but evil plans shape up in the mind of the protagonist leading to the death of one of the brothers. After the murder, Anil kapoor along with Sameera reddy is introduced as detectives who pop up some humour and the mystery is unfold in the second half of the film. One can surely go for the music which is given by Pritam which suits to the mood of the movie.

From the Oscar nominated director comes another historical love story which features Aishwarya rai bachchan, her first release post marriage and Superstar Hrithik roshan who are starred as Jodha and Akbar.After a long time in Hindi cinema we have got to see something which involves knowledge, courage, aptitude, passion, prowess, patience along with huge amount of money to attempt a movie like Jodha Akbar, a sixteen century love story. The marriage between Jodha, the daughter of king Bharmal of Amer and Akbar is the marriage between the two cultures for better alliance with the Rajputani Empire. However on their wedding night, Jodha declares that she is not giving the conjugal powers to Akbar until she develops feelings for him. Thus the plot changes to Akbar winning the heart of the Rajputani princess which involves beautiful scenes depicting true genre of human love, meant to unite at the end.

3.20 hours of complete entertainment with variety of sequences involving drama, war, romance and events, with each of them keep the audiences completely mesmerized. The movie worked because of the right casting with Aishwarya rai looking superb and our hero looking the best in those historical costumes to wear. Thus a brilliant film in all respect and without a shred of doubt rightly called the first blockbuster of 2008.

A film with a nifty plot, flawless can be rated as better than average film with neat performances from high profile stars and unusual settings. The film consists of no killing or chases or any other act of violent trappings which is generally expected from the movies of heist. Actually this movie is more of an unconventional love story even though the production mainly involves sequences relative to crime.

Frustrated by a glass ceiling even after years of faithful employment only to see one man after another getting promoted ahead of her even though she possess greater talent and experience , Laura Quinn is shown to look driven , bright and beautiful executive of the London Diamond Corporations. The night time janitor of the London Diamond corporations ,Hobbs, who has gained enough knowledge about the working of the company although being virtually invisible to other executives of the company, has his personal bone to be picked with from the corporation. After observing the frustration which Laura was going through he convinces her to help him execute his plan to steal a huge sum in diamonds but he wants to go a step further and generates thrilling motion, which has never been seen before.

After “How the grinch stole Christmas” and “The cat in the hat”, “Horton hears a who” has certainly hit the targets sets. It might not be treated as an animated movie with groundbreaking effects but it is truly bighearted as well as a bright adaptation by Dr.Seuss.The lovely elephant , Horton , having just the perfect memory along with deep sense of loyalty discovers an entire species of whoville also called as whose which are cherubic creatures .Horton found them while frolicking through the jungle , when he suddenly heard some noise which he found coming from the speck of dust which was floating through the air , which was actually the head of a clover. The eccentric father of a quiet boy and 99 daughters, the mayor of the whoville, was convinced that the end of their civilization has come near with the weather disturbances in the town. The awesome narration by the newsman creates communication between the two worlds, where in the mayor tries to warn the fellow people of the upcoming destruction but no one is ready to believe him as nothing has ever gone wrong before in their world. Then the Horton was ridiculed among the jungle creatures because of his determination to carry them to safety. Thus with the combination of beautiful animation and good story line, the director has succeeded in spreading the message of tolerance.

From the maker of ‘Day after tomorrow and Independence day” is what the banners screamed but the promos of the movie looked slick .The rule of the day says that we should not expect a movie to be un-schmaltzy and sensible if it is associated with the name of a big director same goes for 10000 B.C which teaches us “only time can teach us what is truth and what is legend”. Directed by Roland Emmerich the story starts with the father of hero, the chieftain of the tribe in the mountain, leaving the tribe in order to protect the tribe people while he only informed the guy who he intended would be the next chief. With all the mountain scenes shot very well and tastily are worthy of many posters. The hero, the son of the traitor as he was called, still in his teens confesses his love to the heroine who is thought to be the savior with pretty blue eyes.

With the mammoths looking amazing , the couple grew up to look beautiful and handsome and then all of a sudden the Persian raze the tribe , taking Camilla Belle , the heroine while leaving behind the old mother who is fit only to mumble and do nothing else. Now comes all the action scenes with the hero chasing the bad guys with the massive army he made by picking some more tribe people from near by tribes .One is visually assaulted by the work of the cinematographer and you are bound to jump off your seat at the site of some really wild animals and savage beasts which have been given real and scary looks. After reaching Egypt, Evolet the cause of envy between the two was rescued thus generating a happy ending.
